The USQ Social Hub launched in June 2014 and featured over 400 pieces of content, including blogs, videos, and podcasts. The USQ Social Engagement & Marketing team maintained the site and aimed to support students in their learning journey and careers.
In 2018, I led a project to refresh the site's design and user experience, as well as updating the backend coding to align with the USQ corporate website. The project was split into two phases: research and development. During the research phase, we worked with a creative agency, Brother & Co., to gather feedback from students and internal stakeholders. The development phase involved working with the USQ Digital Marketing team to build the new site in Sitecore CMS. The project took 6 months to complete, and the new site launched in May 2019. It featured faster page loads and easier navigation.
When I left the project in early 2020, the site had 751,343 sessions from 350,580 unique users and 1,525,226 page views, with an average of 2:22 minutes and 2+ pages per session. The project was a great opportunity to develop my leadership skills and work with a great team of people.
