USQ Social Hub refresh
The USQ Social Hub launched in June 2014 and featured over 400 pieces of content, including blogs, videos, and podcasts. The site was maintained by the USQ Social Engagement & Marketing team and aimed to support students in their learning journey and career. In 2018, I led a project to refresh the site's design and user experience, as well as updating the backend coding to align with the USQ corporate website. The project was split into two phases: research and development. During the research phase, we worked with a creative agency, Brother & Co., to gather feedback from students and internal stakeholders. The development phase involved working with the USQ Digital Marketing team to build the new site in Sitecore CMS. The project took 6 months to complete, and the new site launched in May 2019. It featured faster page loads and easier navigation. When I left the project in early 2020, the site had 751,343 sessions from 350,580 unique users and 1,525,226 page views, with an average of 2:22 minutes and 2+ pages per session. The project was a great opportunity to develop my leadership skills and work with a great team of people.
